I painted this gargoyle the day Notre Dame's forest roof burnt down. These French gargoyles are said to protect Notre Dame, specifically from water damage. There is not much I can say to contribute to the conversation around 2019's Notre Dame fire. I have always been drawn to these stone monsters. It felt like a good day to paint one.
This listing is for my original watercolor and ink painting titled "Guardian Gargoyle". It is watercolor and ink on paper and measures 6 inches x 6 inches (15.24 cm x 15.24 cm).
This an original, signed, one of a kind work of art, not a print. It was made by me, Jen Tracy.
