This painting started as your typical landscape of mountains until it took on a life of its own. The paper refused to take watercolor in layers like I usually work. Most of my art is watercolor with a touch of ink. This piece is mostly ink with a touch of watercolor. This technique gives a very graphic, almost stained glass feel. I am particularly pleased with the depth of the clouds. Their shape and dimension mimic the mountainous landscape below.

This an original, signed, one of a kind work of art, not a print. It was made by me, Jen Tracy.
PLEASE NOTE The blue marks on this work are metallic ink. It is very difficult to capture in a photograph. This is a vibrant painting. The color of the above image is accurate, but the blue ink has a slightly more metallic sheen in person.
