Plein Air paintings are usually created while the artist is sitting outside, in plain air. However, it was raining the day I painting this colorful urban landscape. This watercolor piece was painted while I sat in my car. It is of The Artful Deposit, an art gallery in Bordentown, NJ.
This painting is titled "Street Leak". It is watercolor and ink on cotton paper. It measures 7.5 inches by 8 inches (19 cm x 20.3 cm).
"Street Leak" was painted on site in one sitting. This type of painting is traditionally called plein air painting. It is an original, signed, one of a kind work of art, not a print. It was made by me, Jen Tracy.
